Benjamin Stern

Before joining Heffernan Insurance Brokers in 2005, Ben served as a Vice President at USI Insurance Services in Woodland Hills, California, where he specialized in large commercial accounts. He is now the Managing Senior Vice President for Heffernan’s Southern California offices. As a consistent top producer, Ben received the "Producer of the Year" award in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2020, and 2021 in recognition of his outstanding achievements.

In 2014, Business Insurance honored Ben with the prestigious "40 Under 40" award, presented annually to the top 40 brokers in the United States under the age of 40. Beyond his work at Heffernan, Ben is an esteemed member of the University of Southern California Lusk Center for Real Estate Executive Board of Directors.

Ryan Flanagan

Before teaming up with Ben at Heffernan, Ryan brought over 11 years of diverse real estate experience to Heffernan’s real estate insurance practice, having worked as a broker, principal, developer, and attorney. He played a critical role in the acquisition and disposition of more than $265 million worth of raw land, multi-family, industrial, and commercial real estate properties, including the sale of a 37-store portfolio valued at $160 million for a publicly traded grocer. During his seven years at Heffernan, Ryan has earned the title of Southern California Real Estate Practice Leader and has been named Producer of the Year for 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
